This listing is for one spot of eight for the fall 2026 panel installation class at my shop.  The class will span Friday-Sunday.  We will start at 8:30 and work until 5:30 or whenever we meet our daily goal.  We need to be safe, work hard, and work together to get this accomplished.  You will learn what materials I use, what tools I use, and gain the confidence to tackle a project like this on your own.  I believe this is a small price to pay to gain the confidence to tackle your own car or a customers car.  If you want to learn first hand with me this is your chance.

We will be assembling a 1965 Corvette body. The car was a really nice body but the birdcage was rotten. Chris removed the body and repaired the cage in true MYM fashion. The car is built on a roadster shop spec 7 chassis and the body building process has begun. We will install wide Dynamic Corvettes rear quarter panels, a smooth firewall kit, and install the original front end from the car.  This is a customers car so we need to be careful and take care of it.

What To Expect

Friday: Quarter panel day 8:30am-5:30pm

We will dig right in! We will start with a body that has no quarter panels that is roughly prepped for new panels. We will fit the new panels and discuss how I approach fitting quarter panels that are brand new in the box. The goal is to fit and glue new wide quarter panels on the car. If we have time we will fit the smooth firewall kit from dynamic corvettes.

Lunch is included – let us know about any allergies in advance.

Saturday: Front end day 8:30am-5:30pm

We will discuss different reproduction front end options as well as the challenges associated with them. We will prep and fit the original front end. It should install just the way it came off but we won’t know until we try. We will also cover tips and tricks on fitting front ends and some of the problem areas that you need to tweak to get proper fitment.

Lunch is included – let us know about any allergies in advance.

Sunday: Quarter panel day 8:30am-12:00pm

We will finish our weekend with touching up the body and fine tuning door gaps. We will glue any pieces that we did not get to the day before.

What you’ll learn:

  • Panel prepping
  • Proper panel adhesives
  • Panel matching techniques
  • Fitting reproduction fiberglass
  • Proper panel clamping fixtures

This is a long list of items to tackle so come ready to work with safety glasses,  a respirator,  ear protection, and some old clothes that you don't mind wrecking.  Please note, hotel stays, airfare, and travel accommodations to western PA are not included.  If you have any questions please let me know in the contact me section.  This will be a fun class and don't miss your chance!

Final Notes

  • All skill levels welcome - jump in or observe at your pace
  • Bring questions and curiosity - we’ve got you covered
